Harbin Construction - A History
Harbin Construction was chartered as a Kansas Corporation in 1954 by Bill Harbin, former President. Bill Harbin, a Professional Engineer, began Harbin Construction more than fifty years ago with its primary construction emphasis on remodeling/renovation and general construction within Central Kansas.
Throughout the next thirty years, Harbin Construction became a leader in commercial, industrial and institutional construction throughout Salina and Central Kansas. Harbin soon grew a reputation for providing quality and experience in the services we provide and the final products we build.
In 1989, Bill Harbin began to sell his stock to Ross Hoffhines, an employee of Harbin since 1972. Ross' strong background in general construction, estimating and business meant that the business would remain a leader in construction as well as a financially sound builder and employer to 30+ Kansas residents. Then in 1994, after a long planned transition in leadership and majority ownership of the company, Ross and Melva Hoffhines became 100% owners of Harbin Construction.
In July of 2001, Brandon Hughes (Minority Member/Owner) began with Harbin Construction as a Project Manager. Brandon´s 20 years of experience in construction, drafting, estimating and customer service provides a background encompassing many aspects of the construction process. In 2007, after a long planned transition in leadership, Brandon became a minority owner of Harbin Construction. Brandon´s desire and dedication to providing a well-rounded customer minded focus has been proven and demonstrates success, time and time again, as our customers continue to look to us for their future building needs!
